The current technique demonstrated in the Watercolor Wax Batik is accomplished with watercolor and a combination of three hot waxes. A lifting process and nonabsorbent barrier gives the area painted the ability to flow. Many layers of paint allows development of depth and shading. This technique was first formulated for high school art students having difficulty transitioning from acrylics to watercolors. After extended practice I was able to perfect an original form of the Contemporary Watercolor Batiks you see today. Now you have an opportunity to own an example of this style of art for your collection.
